International Women's Day Celebration - "Women who change the world"

Once again, our International Women’s Day Celebrations will be held at the historic Goodenough College in central London. Collaborating with Goodenough College members, the Worshipful Company of World Traders will look at changes and challenges in Women’s Health both in the UK and around the world.

We are delighted that both the Lady Mayoress, Felicity Lyons, the Sheriffs' consorts, Corinne Lee and Marian Gamble, and Ms Maarja Junti, the partner of H.E. The Estonian Ambassador will be attending this event.

Our keynote speaker:
Artist Chinwe Russell will speak about her work, 20 Historical Women Who Changed The World, including Mary Slessor, a Scottish woman who travelled to Nigeria and found terrible superstition around the birth of twins who were considered a curse. Determined to rectify this, Mary Slessor is just one of the many unsung heroes we will celebrate on International Women’s Day https://www.chinwerussell.com/?Collection=20+Historical+Women+Who+Changed+the+World
